April Vacation Art Workshop for Kids!
Wednesday, April 14th 10:30-12:00 or 1:30-3:00
Reservations required: $12 per child/ $10 members
Students will learn about the Japanese art of Sumi-e painting as they compose simple ink paintings of bamboo, orchids, and mice. Designed for children ages 7-11.
Gargoyle Sculpting Workshop
Thursday, April 15th 10:30-12:00 or 1:30-3:00
Reservations required: $12 per child/$10 members
After learning about different types of gargoyles from smiling lions to laughing monkeys- students will sculpt their own figures using a self-hardening clay. Designed for children ages 7-11.
Friday, April 16th 10:30-12:00 or 1:30-3:00
Reservations required: $12 per child/ $10 members
After viewing the museum’s historic ship collection, students will use wood to construct their own ship. Fabric sails and acrylic paint will be used to transform their creation into a pirate ship or faerie princess boat.
Designed for children ages 7-11.
