Summer Fest is a free, family friendly, community event, featuring food trucks, live entertainment (amplified, unplugged, performance and participatory!), and family friendly activities on the Museum grounds and inside the Museum.
Enjoy hands- on art projects, the fun of April’s Balloon Creations, face painting, and animals from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Visitors can tour the Museum’s beautiful grounds and current exhibitions.
Musical Performers include: Ron Murray & Vuelo, Christine Cooney, Carleans, Geoff Kaufman, Drums of Mali, and much more!
11:00 am – Explore the grounds of the Lyman Allyn including the McCourt 9/11 Memorial Garden & our sculpture Trail or explore the Museum
11:00 – 11:45 am – Mali Drum Circle: Hands-on, interactive, djembes and dunduns provided, all ages and abilities welcome (on the lawn)
12:00 – 3:00 pm – April Brunelle Balloon Creations (on the lawn)
12:00 – 3:00 pm – Art Project in the studio: Lantern Decorating
12:00 – 12:50 pm – Christine Cooney: Musical styles ranging from RnB to Rock n Roll to classic Blues and Jazz, to Big Band & Swing (on the front steps)
1:15 – 2:15 pm – Ron Murray & Vuelo: Music with Spanish influences featuring 7-string guitar and Percussion (on the front steps)
2:00 – 4:00 pm – Enjoy animals from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center
2:30 – 3:30 pm – The CarLeans: Americana, Folk, Bluegrass, Rock and Country (on the front steps)
3:45 – 4:30 pm – Geoff Kaufman: Children’s songs with a maritime flair (on the front steps)
