Join us for a splendid day in Salem, Massachusetts as we enjoy private tours of the Peabody Essex Museum’s permanent collection and the neighboring Yin Yu Tang Chinese House. This unique 200 year old house was brought to America and reassembled at the museum. Time will also be available to self-guide a special exhibition entitled The Emperor’s Private Paradise: Treasures from the Forbidden City. Lunch is on your own at the museum café or in one of the many restaurants in downtown Salem (all of which are within a 5 minute walk of the museum). Note: the bus will leave the Lyman Allyn parking lot at 7:30am and return at approximately 5:30pm.
