Enjoy a lovely spring day at one of the premiere museums in the country! Our day beings with a musical presentation by Darcy Kuronen, the MFA’s Curator of Musical Instruments, followed by a private guided tour by Lyman Allyn Art Museum Director, Sam Quigley. Sam served as Curator of the MFA’s musical instruments department for over ten years, before coming to Lyman Allyn. Explore these galleries and many others with him and engage in intimate conversations about the works on view. After the tour, there will be time to explore the collections and enjoy lunch on your own at one of the museum’s many fine dining facilities. Special exhibitions on view will include: Visiting Masterpieces: Pairing Picasso; #techstyle; Megacities Asia; and In the Steps of Master Pupils of Hokusai. The bus will depart at 3:30pm for the return trip.
Advanced reservations required. Please contact the Education Department at 860-443-2545 x110 or return the reservation form.
Bus departs from and returns to the parking lot of Lyman Allyn Art Museum, 625 Williams Street, New London. *Please note that no refunds are available for bus trips.
