Lawrence Schiller has been a working journalist since the 1950s. Before becoming an award- winning motion picture director and producer, he reported on and photographed people and events that changed the course of history in the second half of the 20thth Century including John F. Kennedy, Robert F.  Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Richard Nixon, Muhammed Ali and Marilyn Monroe to name just a few.  He was in Dallas the day that JFK was shot and in California as a witness to Bobby Kennedy’s shooting.  He has worked for such major publications as Life, Look, Newsweek, Paris Match and the Saturday Evening Post.   He moved into motion pictures by directing a portion of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Now as a producer of major books and curator of exhibitions including the JFK Centennial Exhibition presented at NY Historical last June and Rebel Spirits: The intertwining lives of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
