Summer Fest is our free, family friendly, community event, featuring food trucks, live entertainment (amplified, unplugged, performance and participatory!), and family friendly activities on the Museum grounds and inside the Museum. In the event of rain, everything but the food trucks will move indoors to the Museums galleries, auditorium, and art/dance studio.
Come enjoy: Food Trucks • live entertainment • family activities • art projects • face painting by TeachArt2Me • balloon creations by April Brunelle • a Mermaid Tale craft from the Children’s Museum of Southeastern CT • story time and crafts from the Public Library of New London • animals from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center • live birds of prey from A Place Called Hope • henna art by Hennavana • and much more!
Performers include: The Rivergods • Azalea Drive • Ramblin’ Dan Stevens • and Need to Know!
Visitors are welcome to bring a blanket and explore the grounds of the Lyman Allyn, including the McCourt 9/11 Memorial Garden and the outdoor Sculpture Trail. The entire Museum will be open during this event, so you can explore all of our exhibits. It’s a perfect event to spend with friends and family. Bring them all!
