The Lyme Academy of Fine Arts presents The Prismatic Palette: An Exhibition Tour and Demonstration with Artist John A. Varriano in conjunction with the Lyman Allyn Art Museum on Saturday, October 2, 2021. A student of Frank Mason, who studied under Frank Vincent Dumond, John brings a unique and informed perspective to the day’s events, and details his recorded participation in the exhibition The Prismatic Palette: Frank Vincent DuMond and His Students, currently on view at the Lyman Allyn. A guided morning tour of the exhibition will be followed by a lunch break and a live afternoon demonstration on the Museum’s grounds, led by John in its picturesque sculpture garden. Don’t miss this unprecedented opportunity to experience The Prismatic Palette as a visitor, an insider, and an active participant in its creative process. Artists and enthusiasts welcome.
Please meet at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum. Doors open at 10:15 a.m. Please note that for everyone’s safety, masks are required inside the Museum, regardless of vaccination status.
Participants are responsible for their own lunches. A cooler will be provided for participants to store their lunches, and seating will be available during the demonstration. Spaces are limited.
