Walter Wick
On a Scary, Scary Street, c. 2008
Pigmented inkjet print on paper
Gift of the artist, 2011.8

With Halloween being a few weeks away, we thought we’d have fun with the image above!

Grab a friend and take a look at this spooky scene and find dozens of creepy collectibles! Can you see what I see…

…a blue umbrella, a duck-head cane, a spider web on a windowpane, 5 frogs, 2 bats, a bell, a snail, a hammer, a claw, a long fingernail, a frightened cat on a windowsill.

Did you know that this photographic illustration, titled On A Scary Scary Street, is part of the Lyman Allyn’s permanent collection? It was given to the Museum by award winning children’s book author, Walter Wick. You can find this image and many more festive illustrations in the frightfully fun book; Can you See What I See? On A Scary Scary Night.
