(includes bus travel, museum admissions and guided tours)
Join us for a splendid day in Salem, Massachusetts as we enjoy a private tour of the Peabody Essex Museum’s permanent collection and the neighboring Yin Yu Tang Chinese House. This unique 200-year old house was brought to America and reassembled at the museum. After the tour, there will be time to explore the galleries and temporary exhibitions and enjoy lunch on your own, either at the museum’s Atrium Café or in one of the many restaurants in downtown Salem (all of which are within a 5-minute walk of the museum). Special exhibitions on view will include: MegaCity: India’s Culture of the Streets; Importing Splendor: Luxuries from China; Double Happiness: Celebration in Chinese Art; and Raven’s Many Gifts: Native Art of the Northwest Coast. The bus will depart for New London promptly at 4:00 pm.
Advanced reservations are required. To reserve your space, contact the Education Department at 860-443-2545 x 2110 or email@example.com. Bus departs from and returns to the parking lot of Lyman Allyn Art Museum, 625 Williams Street, New London. *Please note that no refunds are available for bus trips.
