The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of James M.  Eckerle as Interim Director of the Lyman Allyn Art Museum effective July 12, 2013. In this capacity he will oversee its staff and operations.

“Jim has an impressive background which allows him to quickly grasp the opportunities and challenges facing the Lyman Allyn,” said Polly Merrill, Board President.  “Jim’s advice and support has been a tremendous asset to us to date, and we look forward to his help in setting the organization on the path to great success.”

Before his tenure at the Lyman Allyn, Ecklerle worked as an Executive Vice President at The Hartford, and has held numerous senior positions at Bank of America.
