Summer Art Immersion

Our Summer Art Immersion program, designed for artists ages 5-11, provides a wonderful opportunity for students to learn new artistic techniques and explore the collections. In addition to completing special themed projects, participants will tour the Museum’s exhibitions, explore the grounds and Sculpture Trail, and make friends with peers from around the region.

  • All sessions meet Monday – Friday, 9 am – 12:30 pm.

Sessions
Session #1: Animals Abound, July 10-14 (ages 5-7)
Make art inspired by your favorite animals! Learn about all creatures from insects to mammals, birds to sea creatures, and even mythical beasts!

Session #2: Scenes of a City, July 17-21 (ages 8-11)
Learn about what makes a city great. Become inspired by the buildings, people, and events depicted in the artwork on view in our galleries.

Session #3: Sensational Storybooks, July 24-28 (ages 5-7)
Let’s jump into the imaginative world of storybooks! Dive into new stories or revisit familiar ones to fuel your creativity. Projects will be inspired by our favorite books about art and artists.

Session #4: What’s in a Museum?, July 31- August 4 (ages 8-11)
We’re going back to basics with Art 101 by exploring our collection through portraits, landscapes, sculptures and more. Participants will go behind-the-scenes to learn about the work our staff does every day to make sure the Museum runs smoothly.

Cost
Members: $200
Non-members: $225
