Newspaper Cat Collage

Materials

  • Newspaper
  • White paper
  • Construction paper
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

  • The body of the cat will be made out of newspaper. You will need:
    • Head – one large round circle
    • Body – one large U-shape, just don’t cut out the middle!
    • Ears – two medium-sized triangles
    • Whiskers – four thin strips of paper
  • The eyes, nose, and collar will be made out of white paper. You will need:
    • Eyes – two small circles
    • Nose – one small triangle
    • Collar – one medium-sized rectangle
  • To make the cat, glue the body (an upside down U) onto a piece of construction paper.
  • Add the large circle to the top of the body to make the head.
  • Add the ears to the top of the head.
  • Color the eyes with whatever color you like and then glue them onto the large circle. Outline them in black marker to make them pop!
  • Color the nose using a pink marker and then glue it on upside down. Add the cat’s mouth using a black marker.
  • Glue the whiskers, two per side, to the nose.
  • Decorate the collar however you like and then glue it on between the head and the body.
